What it is

MailCommerce AI is a cloud-based software platform and related services offered by Mailcommerce Limited. The Services include AI Features—functionality that generates, analyzes, recommends, or takes actions using machine learning or similar techniques—and are provided exclusively for business (B2B) use under a contractual agreement that includes Terms of Service, an Acceptable Use Policy, a Privacy Notice, and, where applicable, a Data Processing Agreement. Customers create accounts for Authorized Users and retain ownership of Customer Data submitted to the Services. Mailcommerce is licensed to process Customer Data to deliver, secure, and improve the Services and may produce Derived Data (aggregated or de-identified) for analytics and service improvement. The current policy states Customer Data is not used to train general-purpose foundation models, although limited future training uses are described as possible with prior notice.

Key features

Key features defined in the Terms include AI Features that accept Inputs (prompts, instructions, files) and produce Outputs (generated content, recommendations, or results). Customers retain ownership of Inputs and Outputs while Mailcommerce retains rights in the underlying technology and models. The Terms note limitations of Outputs (they may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or non-unique) and require Customer review and legal compliance. Access is provided under a limited, non-exclusive license for Authorized Users and includes restrictions against reverse engineering, scraping, security circumvention, and competing uses. The Services may integrate with third-party platforms, subject to those platforms' terms. Data handling provisions cover processing licences, a DPA where required, retention and deletion after termination, use of Derived Data, and a Feedback licence granting Mailcommerce rights to use submitted feedback. Payments are processed by Paddle as the Merchant of Record, and no uptime SLAs are provided unless expressly agreed in writing.

Use cases

Use cases are limited to internal business purposes. Organizations can use MailCommerce AI to submit business Inputs to generate or analyze content, obtain recommendations, or enable AI-driven actions within internal workflows, with the expectation that Outputs are reviewed and validated before use. The platform can be connected to third-party services to extend functionality, subject to separate third-party terms. IT teams can apply account and credential controls and follow incident-notification procedures; legal and privacy teams can rely on the availability of a DPA where required and on stated data ownership and retention rules. Product teams may provide Feedback under the Feedback provisions, which grants Mailcommerce a perpetual licence to use that Feedback. The Services are not intended for personal or consumer use.
